What kind of soap to use for a baby

January 17, 2015

Most of us love the wonderful, soft scent of baby powder, but it is not recommended for soaps (especially) for newborn babies, because, while soap fragrance oils are highly regulated and skin safe, they are not the same as Essential Oils. Essential Oils such as Lavender or Chamomile are two of the most recommended natural scents for infants, but you can never go wrong with beautiful, rich UNscented Castile (containing 100% Olive Oil) or Bastille Soaps (containing 70% Olive Oil [or more], plus other nourishing oils such as Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Oil and more). All soaps, including the "no more tears" formulas should be kept out of babies eyes, as, while they don't sting baby's eyes, they do contain other chemicals.

Did you know? How many of the ingredients listed on your name brand products do you recognize and know what they are? Few of us research to see exactly what these long, scientific chemical names really are, we just trust something that we've been taught & programmed (through commercials) to trust.
